The striking purple leaves stand out amongst green indoor plants and it’s also photophilic, which means that the leaves open and close in response to light. At night the leaves fold down and during the day they will open up.
Thrives in bright indirect to bright direct light; can handle a few hours of direct sun
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out halfway down between waterings
Irritating to cats, dogs, and humans if consumed; best practice is always to keep houseplants out of reach of small children and pets
