This Alocasia is relatively compact, making it ideal for indoor environments. It grows in an upright form, with new leaves unfurling from the center of the plant. The leaves of Alocasia azlanii are small to medium-sized, heart-shaped, and have a glossy finish. They display a rich, dark green to almost black color with striking, iridescent hues of purple and red, depending on the light. The veins are typically a vibrant pink or red, which contrasts beautifully against the dark leaf surface.
Alocasia azlanii thrives in bright, indirect light. It needs sufficient light to maintain its vibrant coloration but should be protected from direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and dull their iridescent quality
Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Alocasia azlanii prefers a consistently moist environment but is sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
