Begonia maculata is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful begonias. Native to Mexico, Asia, South Africa, and Central America. Many species have spots or blotches on their leaves but none are quite as dramatic or striking as this species.

Begonia Maculata can grow up to 1,5 m in height and produces pale flowers from late winter throughout spring. Begonia is highly susceptible to root rot, therefore you should always be careful to not overwater it. Also, when watering it, pour water directly onto the soil, ensuring the leaves remain dry.
