This plant grows relatively fast in the right conditions and can become quite large, making it a stunning indoor focal point—but it needs strong light, warmth, and consistent care to stay healthy and maintain its variegation. Prefers high humidity (60%+). Low humidity can cause browning edges, especially on the variegated portions. A humidifier or grouping with other plants helps.

Needs very bright light to thrive—ideally several hours of bright, indirect light, and it can tolerate some gentle direct sun (morning or late afternoon). Variegated parts have less chlorophyll, so insufficient light can lead to weak growth or loss of variegation.
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil begins to dry out. It’s a thirsty plant, especially during active growth, but proper drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans, unlike many aroids. However, it’s still best to prevent ingestion of large amounts.
